Minas Halaj

Incorporating elements of classical painting with free-hand, sculptural techniques, Minas Halaj’s large mixed media works combine a variety of materials including tar, Victorian era fabrics, wax, and oil paint to build his forms. Represented at MiXX are works from his ‘Floral Minds’ collection. Taken together, these abstract portraits layer a diversity of texture and imagery to create dynamic, rich studies of the female form and presence.
